Our founder set up HostSNAP in 2013 to host a few friends' small-business sites after getting tired of recommending hosts that buried people in upsells. What started as one shared server grew, slowly and on purpose, into three people: the sysadmin still runs the servers, a second person joined in 2016 to handle support and billing so the sysadmin could stop doing both at 11pm, and a third joined in 2019 to design and build sites for customers who didn't want to build their own.
We've had chances to grow faster than this. We've turned them down. A support inbox that three people can actually read beats a queue that fifty people triage.
Runs the servers, the backups, and the 2am pager if something goes down. Started hosting sites as a side project in 2013 and never really stopped.
Reads support@hostsnap.net and answers most of it directly. If your invoice looks wrong or your DNS won't propagate, this is who you're talking to.
Designs and builds every site we sell as a design package, and keeps our own site from looking like a hosting company built it.
We rent rack space in a Tier III colocation facility. We don't own the building or the generators; we own and manage what's bolted into our rack.
We're not going to promise five nines like the enterprise hosts do. We post real outages on our status updates, not spin.
Your renewal price is the same as your signup price. We don't lure you in low and triple it a year later.
If you email us, a person reads it. We'd rather answer slower and be right than answer instantly and be wrong.
You get standard cPanel and WHM. If we ever switch away from that, we'll tell you well before it happens.
No sales call, just an email. We'll tell you honestly if we're not the right fit.
